Focusing on luxurious materials, form and craftsmanship, the designs articulate their point of view – richly thoughtful with a touch of daring. Favouring timeless contemporary design over seasonal trends, the collections embody qualities of future heirlooms.

We spoke to the founders of Fleur Studios on where they draw inspiration from and how this stunning brand came to life...

What was the main goal when starting Fleur Studios?

The idea for Fleur Studios came about as we wanted to create a lifestyle brand that was effortless, luxurious but also attainable for everyone. A brand that favours contemporary timeless design over seasonal trends with values of quality, design and affordability. By working with premium natural materials like marbles and timber sourced from some of the finest places in the world, the designs echo the natural environment. When we combine this with function, each and every design has a distinctiveness whilst serving a core purpose in the home. And after all, we spend so much of our life at home, a space where you relax, find inspiration, and create memories in so we wanted to design pieces that serve you but are also beautiful.

We love how unique your pieces are, where did your inspiration come from and what drew you to natural stones such as marble and onyx?

Thank you! We find inspiration everywhere from books, history, people, our travels and nature – no one does it better than nature. Though, we recently attended Milan Design Week which was nothing short of amazing with so many talented designers and artists showing incredible things from all around the world

I think we were drawn to marble because it is natures art. No two pieces are the same and it’s filled with incredible colours and patterns that bring it to life. If you choose your marbles right, you can introduce one marble design to a room and it immediately ties the whole space together.

We also love it for its versatility and how well it translates to both furniture and homewares. Our small décor pieces have just as much impact as our statement coffee tables. Like our Bagel Bowl where we played with sculptural shapes in bold proportions to create a stunning centrepiece.

But it’s not all about marble for us. We love mixing materials to create texture and interest and we have some exciting pieces with new materials coming soon.

How would you describe the Fleur Studios aesthetic?

The Fleur Studios aesthetic is as all about effortless luxury, where elevated form meets function. We have a love for natural materials, particularly marble & timber, so our designs focus on experimenting with silhouettes whilst keeping the material as the hero. Natural materials have a timeless quality so pairing them with contemporary shapes create designs that are refreshing, a little daring and one-of-a-kind.

For those new to the brand, do you have any tips on how to style your products?

We would say our pieces are quite unique and in terms of styling we invite you to be playful with this part of the process. We personally love to use nature – wildflowers in beautiful vases, coffee table books and sculptural objects to introduce new colours into the space. When styling, you can’t do anything wrong so don’t be afraid to play and move things around because this is where the magic happens. In saying that, our pieces do speak for themselves, so often less is more. One of our personal favourite styling pieces at the moment is our Cloud Vase with its organic silhouette which makes a statement on its own or bring it to life with flowers.
